PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Welcome and Kia ora

Tikipunga High School is a co-educational Year 7-13 school of around 550 students serving a community (north eastern suburb of Whangarei and outlying rural area).  The school is committed to a school-wide approach to teaching which is relationship centred and is geared to high levels of student engagement complemented by high expectations for student success.

Our school’s motto is “tukua o punga” – cast your nets, which encapsulates the key purpose of schooling – to enable students to cast their nets so that they can be successful learners, reach their personal potential and be purposeful, productive and caring members of society.
